CPAWS-Yukon welcomes your participation in our conservation and protected areas work. Volunteers play an important role in protecting the Yukons wilderness and special places. We are developing a formal volunteer program, but there are plenty of ways to learn more and get involved now:

- Attend our monthly Dinner & Discussion meetings in Whitehorse, between September and June. Find out what's going on in conservation, and how you can help. These meetings are normally held on the 3rd Thursday of each month, and are open to all members.
- Drop in to the office at 506 Steele Street, and let us know your interests and where you might be able to help out.
- Volunteer to help with one of our conservation projects, for example by joining a small work group, attending meetings on behalf of CPAWS, or writing a letter to your MLA or the newspaper editor.
- Sign up for one of our training programs in conservation, community leadership, community economic development, or protected area planning.
- If you are a member and want to stay informed, ask to be put on our e-mail list for periodic mailings on conservation news and calls for action. Send a message to info@cpawsyukon.org to be added to the list.
- Attend our annual slide shows and other public education events to learn more about the Yukons magnfiicent landscapes and the effort to protect them.
- Call, write, meet or e-mail your MLA and MP to let them know that conservation and completion of a protected areas network are important to you, and to the future of the Yukon. Ask them to support establishing new protected areas in the Yukon.
- Attend public and community meetings where conservation issues are discussed, such as meetings on land use planning, wildlife management, new protected areas, or government policies on resource development. Voice your opinion on the importance of conservation.
- Keep an eye out for meetings on park management plans. Get involved in watching your favourite park or protected area to help ensure that the management plan will maintain ecological integrity.
