Three Rivers Journey

Years ago we asked ourselves how one celebrates and protects an immense boreal mountain wilderness that is unknown to most Canadians.

CPAWS-Yukon took on this challenge in the summer of 2003, when 18 nationally prominent artists, writers, journalists and photographers joined 26 people from Yukon and Northwest Territory communities in separate, simultaneous journeys down the Wind, Snake and Bonnet Plume Rivers of the Peel Watershed. It was an opportunity for this group to spend time in a magnificent and inspiring landscape and to then create various works as a result of their experiences.
